Dog & Cat Hospital Calabasas is a family owned, state of the art, high quality, affordable veterinary hospital offering general practice services and specialty internal medicine, cardiology, and surgery services.

The vision and goal of owner, Dr. Brian Norman, DVM, is to offer and provide the best veterinary care to the pets of the Calabasas and surrounding communities in a comfortable family environment. He and his wife, Michelle, and their three children have been members of the community for over 20 years and they understand that your pets are family.

The hospital was designed and equipped to provide general wellness exams, preventative care, and the most advanced diagnostics and treatments in a warm, comfortable, and safe environment.

What pets do you treat at Dog & Cat Hospital Calabasas?
As our name says, we care for dogs and cats of every age and breed — from first puppy and kitten visits through senior wellness. Because our team covers general practice, internal medicine, cardiology, and surgery, most of your pet's needs can be met in one place. Browse what we offer on our Services page.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Call or text us at (818) 963-2616, or send a note through our contact form and we'll follow up to confirm a time. We do our best to fit urgent concerns in the same day, so let us know if your pet needs to be seen quickly.
What are your hours and where are you located?
We're at 22291 Mulholland Hwy, Calabasas, CA 91302, open Monday–Friday 8am–5pm and Saturday 8am–1pm. We're closed on Sundays. For directions, parking, and a look at the hospital, see our Our Practice page.
Do I need a referral to see your internal medicine or cardiology specialist?
No referral is required — you can book with us directly. If your primary veterinarian has referred your pet for a workup, bring any records, lab results, or imaging they've shared so our specialty team can pick up right where your regular vet left off.
What should I bring to my pet's first visit?
Please bring prior medical records, vaccine history, and a list of any current medications, supplements, or special diets. If your pet has had recent bloodwork or x-rays done elsewhere, send those ahead so we can review them before you arrive. Bringing dogs on a leash and cats in a carrier keeps everyone calm in the lobby.
Is my pet having an emergency, and what should I do after hours?
During business hours, call us right away at (818) 963-2616 and we'll triage your pet as quickly as possible. If an emergency happens when we're closed, please go to your nearest 24-hour emergency animal hospital, then follow up with us so we can coordinate your pet's continued care.
Can I refill my pet's medication or order prescription food online?
Yes. Our online pharmacy lets you order prescription medications, parasite preventives, and prescription diets for home delivery, with refills authorized by our veterinarians. A brand-new prescription may require an exam first.
What conditions, procedures, and treatments do you handle?
Beyond routine wellness exams and vaccines, we offer internal medicine workups, cardiology, soft-tissue and orthopedic surgery, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, and more. How much will a visit cost, and do you accept pet insurance?
Cost depends on what your pet needs, so we'll always review the recommended plan and an estimate with you before moving forward — no surprises. We accept major credit and debit cards. We don't bill pet insurance directly, but we're glad to provide the itemized invoice and records most insurers need for reimbursement.
